Barockissimo! Les Arts Florissants on stage

March 1 2016

The Barockissimo! Les Arts Florissants on stage exhibition will open April 9th, 2016 at the Centre national du costume de scène in Moulins, France.

Close to 150 stage costumes from various Arts Florissants productions will be on display, from the Louis XIV barrel to the Inca feathers and the haute couture transvestite. The exhibition will also present reproductions of set and costume designs, photographs, film excerpts and more, all set to music.

This exhibition is an opportunity to explore the history of the Ensemble, and to rediscover Les Arts Florissants' opera productions and array of styles since the magnificent performance of Atys in 1987.
