For the opening night of the Festival, the Choir of Les Arts Florissant proposed Le Jardin des Songes, a program made of some of the greatest Baroque works.
For the opening of the 2016 Festival, under the artistic direction of William Christie and Paul Agnew, the magic of the Reflecting pool set the scene for Le Jardin des Songes, a program that was created by the Choir of Les Arts Florissants with the view to offer the public pieces from the greatest Baroque composers: Rameau, Charpentier, Purcell, Campra… with the idyllic gardens of Thiré, Vendée, for background.
