Let's celebrate Xmas with harmonia mundi!
A historical partner of Les Arts Florissants, harmonia mundi is celebrating the Ensemble's 40th anniversary with the reissuing of its most famous productions. But Christmas is also the ideal time to help children to discover baroque music, or to give oneself a treat with the latest recordings of the Ensemble.
Latest releases
- While looking forward to the european tour of his 4th book of Madrigals, in February, it is time to listen to the first part of the Gesualdo cycle (Books 1 & 2), available in the "Les Arts Florissants" collection (harmonia mundi). A France Musique co-production.
- Recorded during the Salzburg Festival in 2018, L'incoronazione di Poppea brings together international stars such as Sonya Yoncheva, Kate Lindsey, Stéphanie d'Oustrac, Lea Desandre, Ana Quintans... In addition to the CDs, a DVD will allow you to re-experience the bewitching staging of Jan Lauwers. France Musique's favorite !
- In honour of Les Arts Florissants' 40th anniversary, harmonia mundi is reissuing some of the great recordings that have built the Ensemble's reputation : Les Indes galantes, Médée and of course Atys. A perfect opportunity to rediscover these great baroque treasures.
- What better than a story to make baroque music seem more fun for the youngest ones ? The CD-book La Harpe de la reine tells us the story of queen Marie-Antoinette, through the voice of actress Marina Hands. A poetic way to explore Krumholz, Haydn or Gluck's musical universe.
