With an exceptional cast (Sonia Yonsheva, Kate Lindsey, Stéphanie d’Oustrac…) and several young laureates from the Academy of Le Jardin des Voix (Sonia Yonsheva, Lea Desandre, Carlo Vistoli, Renato Dolcini, Claire Debono), each character is musically focused on a small orchestra and a subtle continuo.
The amazing staging of Jan Lauwers underlies the great meeting between bloody tragedy and satirical comedy –Monterverdi’s operas signature.
