2016 temporary-garden competition: call for submissions open on the theme of Arcadia

December 22 2015

William Christie has long been committed to the education and training of young musicians, and in the same spirit, with a view to encouraging young landscape designers, launched the Maryvonne Pinault Prize last year. For the 2016 edition, he is once again holding a competition for the creation of a temporary garden at the annual festival  Dans les Jardins de William Christie.

The competition for the 2016 Temporary Garden is open to young landscape designers under 30. The winner will create a Temporary garden designed to accommodate concerts during the Promenades musicales at the 2016 festival, which will take place from August 20 to 27 in Thiré, in the Vendée region of France.

In 2015, the winning project of this Maryvonne Pinault Prize was created by Les Arplanteurs who created a shadow Baroque prairie.

This year, entrants are asked to design a contemporary garden on the theme of Arcadia.

Entries must be submitted electronically by March 10, 2016 at 12:00 noon (Paris time).
