Les Arts Florissants delight audiences in The US

Les Arts Florissants, acting as global ambassadors of French music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, are touring United-States with Airs sérieux et à boire, vol.1, a program of Serious airs and Drinking Songs by Lambert, Charpentier, Couperin, Chabanceau de la Barre and d’Ambruys.

William Christie at the harpsichord, accompanied by five singers (four are former winners of Le Jardin des Voix) and four musicians of Les Arts Florissants, captived the audience for they debut in Miami, first stop of their US tour:

  • Miami: New World Center - April 29
  • Berkeley: Cal Performances - May 1
  • Santa Barbara: UCSB Arts & Lectures - May 5
  • Los Angeles: LA Phil - May 6
